Classes Offered
Orientation
This is mandatory for entering into group classes. This informative and fun class is designed to answer burning questions, help problem solve struggles or concerns a pet parent may have, and set you up for success with your dog when entering the group classes. You will attend this one hour workshop dog free, don’t worry you will have plenty of time to tell us all about your furry friend!
Puppy 1 (8-16wks)
Starting Early is always recommended! Our puppies are sponges for information and exploration at this young age, harness that power for good by showing your puppy how to safely interact in this big bold world. This class focuses on safe socialization, exploring with your puppy, foundation skills, potty training, navigating puppy development and more.
Puppy 2 (4-6 months)
Similar to Puppy 1 but adapted to a slightly older puppy, our puppies go through a variety of stages throughout their development. We will adjust to the needs and learning abilities of our dogs as they grow into successful adults! In Puppy 2 we will focus on safe socialization especially through any “fear periods” your puppy experiences, we will build up their foundation skills, and train our way through the “raptor phase” as you puppy starts to teethe.
Beginner (6mths+)
It’s never too late or too old to get foundation training started! Building a solid foundation of behaviors can help any family navigate dog ownership like a breeze. This course covers your basic needs - sit, down, wait, come when called, walking on leash, and more!
Intermediate
Once we have established a solid foundation of fundamental behaviors, it is time to enhance reliability. In our Intermediate classes, we build upon these basics by introducing engaging challenges that sharpen your dog's focus to a fine point. Additionally, we will incorporate exciting new tricks into your training repertoire, such as mastering "place," perfecting the "heel," and refining duration sits and downs—ensuring that your dog remains attentively engaged with you.
Recall
Coming when called is one key behavior to keeping your dog safe. During this class we will exclusively work of this key skill, constantly making it more challenging to build your dog’s reliability. No matter your goals with your dog, learning this life saving skill will help keep your dog safe. We will learn all the tips and tricks to achieving and maintaining this important skill!
Leash Skills
In Leash Skills, we focus on mastering the loose leash technique. Is your dog an expert at sitting and lying down but pulls like a freight train when on a leash? Let’s turn that around! This class emphasizes honing this skill while addressing the distractions that often challenge our furry companions.
Confidence
Dogs that struggle with confidence may feel anxious in unfamiliar or daunting settings. By fostering their self-assurance, we can encourage them to approach new environments with a sense of curiosity. In this class, we will not only focus on boosting their confidence but also discuss ways to support and manage a dog that lacks confidence.
Patience
Patience is crucial, yet it can be one of the hardest skills for a busy dog to master. When they have a personal agenda that we aren't aware of, it can be difficult to keep things under control. In our Patience training, we focus on developing these essential skills. Whether your dog struggles at the door, during mealtime, or when seeking your attention, we can enhance their patience through training.
