Mountain View Dogs Proudly Presents:

Sponsor A Rescue

Available for Sponsor & Adoption

Meet Starr,

This sweet girl has learned a few less than favorable ways to ask for what she needs by using her voice in close proximity to your face and mouthing arms and legs. She is seeking Sponsorship to curb the habits and show her how to appropriately ask for what she needs. She is a high energy and very intelligent dog who requires both mental and physical stimulation daily. She will be looking for an active home that can keep her enriched and occupied. She loves a good snuggle at the end of the day and really tough toys! She is friendly towards appropriate dogs, and people! She is a little confused about what to do with cats, she would need a dog savvy cat willing to not run away from her.

Starr is available for adoption through Snuggle Stop Rescue, a 501c rescue offering safe landing for both dogs and cats!

Make it Happen. Be part of the Change.

The world is experiencing a pet pandemic. Shelters are overflowing and animals are suffering. Of these dogs being rescued many come in with significant trauma, no healthy socialization, and many scary experiences even in very young puppies.

The Sponsor a Rescue Program has been created to support rescue dogs and their future families through training. There has been a drastic increase in rescue dogs having significant behavior challenges. Puppies that are resource guarding and aggressive before 5months of age, dog to dog aggression, dog to human aggression, serious bite histories, reactivity towards people or dogs, extreme fear of new people or places, noises and experiences, the list goes on…

Many of this can prevented and managed via training. Unfortunately training can come at a hefty cost due to a variety of factors including liability coverage, supplies, continuing education and demand. The pet population is rapidly out growing the pet professional community and trustworthy pet professionals can be hard to come by.

The Sponsor a Rescue Program aims to provide training and evaluations to rescue dogs before they are placed into new homes. Our goal is to help aid in placing dogs in homes that are prepared to meet the needs of their new family member. By giving the owners a foundation of training as well as developing a healthy routine, we aim for a smooth transition into their forever homes with continued support from our trainers!

We owe it to these beautiful, loyal, yet traumatized dogs find safety and comfort for the rest of their days.
